For our 20th anniversary show, we’re celebrating what the SeaRoad Devonport Motor Show has always stood for – quality.
This year’s Best of the Best theme brings together more than 40 past trophy-winning vehicles from the past two decades. Cars and bikes will return to display along Bluff Road as an elite feature group, with judges crowning the ultimate standout on the day.
With more than 600 vehicles already pre-entered, this is shaping up to be our biggest field at Aikenhead Point since 2022. And the lineup is still growing.
Pre-entries close 15 March. We’d love to see you and your vehicle there.

Built in a garage. Built with mates. Built in tribute.
Some cars are built for trophies. This black 1934 Ford Pickup hot rod was built for the people behind it.
Owner Bill O’Connor and good mate Wayne Lockhart spent five years building the rod together, often interrupted by COVID and a few health scares along the way. Every Friday, Wayne would arrive for a full day’s work on the build. At 4pm, the tools went down and the fridge opened. Rod club members would drop in, stories were shared, and the shed filled with talk of past runs and builds.
The pickup has only recently been finished and registered, and carries more than fresh paint and horsepower. It stands as a tribute to Ian Murcott, ASRF legend Ken Duncanson, and Wayne Lockhart, who have all since passed.
A hot rod built by mates, now proudly displayed in their memory.

Live on track: electric racers and technical riders
There’ll be plenty of action unfolding beyond the display lines this year.
Greenpower Australia will host the first-ever Devonport Goblins Heat, with primary school students racing the electric cars they have designed and built themselves. These battery-powered machines may be small, but the pride and excitement on the track will be huge.
And for something completely different, the Tasmanian Moto Trials Club will demonstrate the art of balance and control. Trials riding is not about speed. It’s about precision, nerve, and skill as riders navigate tight obstacles without putting a foot down.
Two very different disciplines. One full day of live action.
Make sure you catch both.
A keepsake for the 20th anniversary
To mark 20 years of the Devonport Motor Show, we’ve produced a special 32-page commemorative programme. It features snippets from shows past, a look at how it all began, reflections from our current Chair, and some of the standout moments across two decades.
It’s a celebration of the cars, the people and the community behind the show, and it’ll be available free on the day as a souvenir.
With thanks to you all
